Greetings families! We have a busy month ahead with lots of fun events at Breckinridge-Franklin! Please note the many dates that have been added. We are in full swing with boys and girls basketball. Please join us and cheer on our Bullfrogs! Our Scholastic Book Fair is coming up next week! Look for more information to come home in folders. Books make great gifts!! We have two upcoming performances on Dec. 7th and Dec. 14th. The Musical Flakes will be showcasing our 3rd-5th graders. The cast has been working very hard. You won't want to miss it! On Dec. 14th we have a school wide literacy night with snacks, storytelling, and a holiday music performance by our k-3 graders who would like to participate. Snacks will begin at 5:30 with storytelling and activities followed by singing at 7 p.m.. Students have been working hard to earn HOP Tickets for following our school-wide behavior expectations. We would love to give out a few larger prizes in the week leading up to the holiday break. If you or a family member would like to make a donation please drop off it off to the front office between the hours of 8:30 and 4:30 p.m. The last day before the holiday break is Tuesday, December 19th! We are in need of Watch D.O.G.S. on the morning of Dec. 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If you have completed your background check we would love to hear from you! Please call 485-8215 to sign up! Parents check out our November Wrap Up with grade level happenings! Click here!www.smore.com/35ayb Families we are working hard each and every day at school! This week two of our second grade classes will be attending Safety City. Friday we will be celebrating Veterans Day as a school during our school-wide community meeting. We want to honor all of the service and time our Veterans have given to our country!
Parents we have asked that all of our students keep a book in their backpacks and math facts to study, etc. We would greatly appreciate if you could double check to see if your child has a book to read , notebook, or puzzle books every day. Many students have a long wait in the morning sitting in the gym, in the afternoon waiting to load their bus, and on the long bus ride home. We want them to have access to literature as much as possible and to maximize their time with print. Any general store will have flash cards, notebooks, and books. Students are also able to check out books from our school library. Keep watch for our next school wide book fair! Please remember to send in notes if your child is absent. Parents are only allowed a maximum of 10 parent notes per year. If you take your child to the doctor please send in a note from the doctor. Tardies add up and instructional time is missed! Please make sure your child arrives before 9:05 a.m. and stays until 3:45 p.m. If at all possible please schedule appointments after school hours. Contact from the office will be made if your child misses more than 3 school days. Interventions such as phone calls, letters home, and parent conferences will be made to ensure students attend school each day! Calling parents and grandparents!!! If you have a couple of extra hours each week and have completed a background check, we would love to have you volunteer to make copies, laminate, etc. for our teachers! Please contact Amanda or Kenya in the office to see how you can make a difference today! We are also signing up Dads and Grandpas for Watch D.O.G.S.! Let us know when you can join us! |
